Traffic Stop Leads to Warrant Arrest — and an Unexpected Food Delivery
On June 4, just after 8:00 p.m., a Redmond officer observed a driver fail to stop at a stop sign near NE 40th St and 172nd Ave NE and conducted a traffic stop.
During the stop, officers learned the driver did not have a license or proof of insurance on hand. A records check revealed the driver had an active warrant for Driving While License Suspended.
The driver was taken into custody on the warrant and received warnings for the traffic violations.
Officers also noticed bags of food in the vehicle and learned the driver was in the middle of making a food delivery. To make sure the customer still received their order, another officer completed the delivery.
Sometimes police work means enforcing the law. Sometimes it means delivering dinner.
