DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) \u2014 Lebanon\u2019s government says it considers Hezbollah\u2019s military activities illegal acts and says the group should hand over its weapons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam said only the state is the side that decides whether to go to war or pace. He added on Monday that all Hezbollah\u2019s military activities are banned and Hezbollah should only work in politics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The government called on security agencies to prevent the firing of missiles or drones and detain those behind it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) \u2014 The U.S. military said on Monday that Kuwait \u201cmistakenly shot down\u201d thee American F-15E Strike Eagles during a combat mission as Iran attacked the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The U.S. military\u2019s Central Command said the combat included attacks from Iranian aircraft, ballistic missiles and drones — the first time Iran\u2019s aging combat fleet has been engaged in the war.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe U.S. Air Force fighter jets were mistakenly shot down by Kuwaiti air defenses,\u201d it said. \u201cAll six aircrew ejected safely, have been safely recovered, and are in stable condition. Kuwait has acknowledged this incident, and we are grateful for the efforts of the Kuwaiti defense forces and their support in this ongoing operation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) \u2014 Iran and Iranian-backed militias fired missiles at Israel and Arab states, apparently hitting the U.S. Embassy compound in Kuwait, while Israel and the United States pounded targets in Iran as the war expanded on Monday with statements of defiance and increasing casualties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At least 555 people have been killed in Iran so far by the U.S.-Israeli campaign, the Iranian Red Crescent Society said, and more than 130 cities across the country having come under attack. Eleven people have been killed in Israel and 31 in Lebanon, according to authorities there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Kuwait, fire and smoke rose from inside the U.S. Embassy compound and the defense ministry said \u201cseveral\u201d American warplanes had also crashed in the country. The ministry did not elaborate on what caused the crashes or how many aircraft were involved, but said the pilots were taken to a hospital and were in stable condition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Iranian state television claimed Iran had targeted U.S. aircraft, without elaborating. The U.S. military did not immediately respond to a request for comment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The embassy compound was hit not long after U.S. issued a warning to Americans there to take cover and for others to stay away. There were no immediate reports on damage or casualties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Multiple airstrikes hit Tehran, Iran\u2019s capital, on Monday afternoon, while top Iranian security official Ali Larijani vowed on X that \u201cwe will not negotiate with the United States.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Iraq, a pro-Iranian militia claimed responsibility for a drone attack targeting U.S. troops at the Baghdad airport, the day after it said it fired at a U.S. base in the city of Irbil in the north, and Cyprus said a drone attack targeted a British base on the Mediterranean island nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Israel and the U.S. bombed Iranian missile sites and targeted its navy, claiming to have destroyed its headquarters and multiple warships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Iran expands attacks to regional oil infrastructure<\/p>\n\n\n\n

World markets were rattled by the fighting and oil prices soared. Saudi Arabia\u2019s Ras Tanura oil refinery came under a drone attack on Monday, with defenses downing the incoming aircraft, a military spokesman told the state-run Saudi Press Agency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Online videos from the site appeared to show thick black smoke rising after the attack. Even successfully intercepted drones cause debris that can spark fires and injure those on the ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
