Two Henderson police officers shot a suspect who drove a stolen front loader construction vehicle at an officer and rammed two patrol cars Sunday morning, the department said in a news release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The incident began at approximately 9:10 a.m. when officers responded to a stolen vehicle report in the 600 block of North Water Street. When officers arrived, they found a suspect driving a front loader construction vehicle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When officers attempted to make contact with the adult male driver, he drove the front loader toward an officer in an apparent attempt to run the officer over, police said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The suspect then rammed two patrol vehicles, causing them to become lodged under the front loader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The officers discharged their firearms, striking him twice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The suspect was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The officers were also taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
