The discovery was reported by local media, including Kazinform and Telegram sources on March 19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According\u00a0to\u00a0reports, the drone was found intact in\u00a0an\u00a0open field with no\u00a0visible damage or\u00a0detonation of\u00a0its explosive payload. The presence of\u00a0symbols, including the letter \u201cZ,\u201d suggests its potential involvement in\u00a0Russia\u2019s military operations. Experts indicate that the drone was equipped with a\u00a0fragmentation warhead and telemetry system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Initial assessments suggest that the drone may have deviated from its intended course due to electronic warfare interference or a technical malfunction. Having lost navigation control, it likely continued uncontrolled flight over Russian territory before entering Kazakhstan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ukrainian Air Force reported that on the night of March 18-19, Russian forces launched drone attacks from various locations, including Bryansk, Orel, Shatalovo, Kursk, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk. Given the distance, the Shahed-136 could have traveled between 700 and 1,000 kilometers before landing in Kazakhstan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kazakh authorities, including law enforcement and emergency services, responded to the incident. The West Kazakhstan Regional Police Department confirmed an ongoing investigation into the circumstances of the drone\u2019s crash. The drone was found in a remote area, away from populated zones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier, on\u00a0March 1, Romania\u2019s Ministry of\u00a0Defense\u00a0reported\u00a0finding fragments of\u00a0a\u00a0Russian-made drone with an\u00a0active warhead near the border with Moldova. The debris was discovered in\u00a0an\u00a0uninhabited area in\u00a0Gala\u021bi County, approximately 500\u00a0meters from the border. Authorities conducted a\u00a0controlled detonation to\u00a0neutralize the explosive threat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
