You can also hear a sharp throttle adjustment during the pitch-over maneuver. The pilot ejects just before the jet impacts the ground, resulting in a huge fireball. Citing Spain\u2019s Civil Guard, the\u00a0<em>Associated Press\u00a0<\/em>reported\u00a0the pilot suffered leg injuries from the low-altitude ejection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video height=\"448\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 352 \/ 448;\" width=\"352\" controls src=\"https:\/\/www.landingliker.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/IMG_9201.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Spanish news agency\u00a0<em>EFE\u00a0<\/em>reported the EF-18 was practicing for an airshow when the crash occurred. In a tweet, the Spanish Air and Space Force confirmed the EF-18 was one of the 15th Wing\u2019s jets, which operates multiple squadrons of Hornets at Zaragoza.
