Trudy Murrell, 55, was outside her Middlesbrough home with her granddaughter when two \u201chigh as a kite\u201d men wandered into her garden<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A son punched a stranger to the ground outside his home after one of them allegedly insulted his mum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jack Randall, 22, lashed out at a man said to be \u201chigh as a kite\u201d after he and a pal approached disabled Trudy Murrell, who was with her one-year-old granddaughter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trudy, 55, was sitting in the garden of her home in Middlesbrough with the toddler when the two men wandered into their front garden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Footage of the punch, caught on camera outside the home, was posted by the family on social media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jack shouted: \u201cI\u2019m not having it, you don\u2019t talk to my mum like that.\u201dMan \u201charassing\u201d ill mum on her doorstep knocked out cold when her son comes home<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trudy, who has Fibromyalgia and diabetes, told the Daily Mail that one of the men had tried to walk past her to the front of her house, and praised her son for his actions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She said she was \u201cfrightened\u201d and described the men as \u201cunpredictable\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jack was in a car nearby when he got a message from his girlfriend telling him what was happening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He got out and dramatically floored the man.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His brother James \u2013 whose daughter Trudy was holding \u2013 told the Mail: \u201cI saw Jack had floored this man and wanted him away from my daughter quick so I dragged him away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI went up to the other guy to tell him to leave and when he talked back I slapped some sense into him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI just wanted to get them off the property and out the house and away from my daughter.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He described the two men as \u201chigh as a kite\u201d, and claimed he later learned that the men had tried to get into another home around the corner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of their trousers kept falling down, James said.
