{"id":2700,"date":"2026-08-20T17:05:59","date_gmt":"2026-08-20T17:05:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.landingliker.info\/?p=2700"},"modified":"2026-08-20T17:06:00","modified_gmt":"2026-08-20T17:06:00","slug":"former-nfl-player-leads-police-on-chase-following-robbery","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.landingliker.info\/?p=2700","title":{"rendered":"Former NFL Player Leads Police On Chase Following Robbery"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video height=\"448\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 640 \/ 448;\" width=\"640\" controls src=\"https:\/\/www.landingliker.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/IMG_2928.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Texas Department of Public Safety and Sulphur police are providing new details about a wild chase at speeds of up to 130 mph from Southwest Louisiana into Southeast Texas that ended with the arrest of three young bank robbery suspects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bart Masters and&nbsp;Kevin Steele captured exclusive images of one arrest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The preliminary investigation indicates that at about 1:30 p.m., Orange County Sheriff\u2019s Office dispatchers broadcast over the radio that Sulphur Police Department officers were chasing the driver of a black Nissan Rogue with three occupants. The trio is accused of the armed robbery of a bank. Troopers spotted the suspect vehicle on Interstate 10 traveling west and actively evading Orange County deputies. Troopers activated their lights and sirens and began to pursue the driver as he continued to evade law enforcement at a high rate of speed. Police in Sulpur say the driver ran out of gas and the three suspects fled on foot from the area of Highway 12 and state Highway 87 in Newton County.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Troopers and other local law enforcement in the area set up a perimeter and successfully caught all three suspects a short time later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As a precautionary measure, a nearby elementary school in Deweyville was locked down until the suspects were caught.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All three suspects were transported to the Newton County Sheriff\u2019s Office and charged with evading, a misdemeanor offense. Additional charges are likely.
