{"id":688,"date":"2025-10-21T09:26:36","date_gmt":"2025-10-21T09:26:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.landingliker.info\/?p=688"},"modified":"2025-10-21T09:27:55","modified_gmt":"2025-10-21T09:27:55","slug":"shotgun-wielding-suspect-fatally-shot-by-cops","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.landingliker.info\/?p=688","title":{"rendered":"\ud83d\udca5\u203c\ufe0f\ud83d\udea8Shotgun-Wielding Suspect Fatally Shot By Cops"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"728\" height=\"546\" src=\"https:\/\/www.landingliker.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/4b0d7ef807494945a6c709851447e316_md.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-689\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.landingliker.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/4b0d7ef807494945a6c709851447e316_md.webp 728w, https:\/\/www.landingliker.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/4b0d7ef807494945a6c709851447e316_md-300x225.webp 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 728px) 100vw, 728px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>A man was shot dead by cops in Illinois after he opened fire on officers following a wild chase that started when he allegedly shot his own dad &#8212; and the dramatic scene was caught on police video.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Kendall County Sheriff\u2019s Office and Plano Police Department dropped graphic segments of the footage from last month\u2019s incident &#8230; and it shows the suspect, 36-year-old&nbsp;<strong>Nicholas Novak<\/strong>, hopping out of his vehicle at an intersection with a shotgun in hand, firing at least once at responding officers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"728\" height=\"546\" src=\"https:\/\/www.landingliker.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/14793e1c4b874a61b262f7a785784d25_md.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-690\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.landingliker.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/14793e1c4b874a61b262f7a785784d25_md.webp 728w, https:\/\/www.landingliker.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/14793e1c4b874a61b262f7a785784d25_md-300x225.webp 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 728px) 100vw, 728px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>A Kendall County Sheriff\u2019s deputy and a Plano police officer both returned fire with about a dozen rounds &#8230; and the footage shows the suspect collapsing to the ground after being struck.<a><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>911 audio recordings leading up to the shooting have also been released &#8230; featuring Nicholas&#8217; dad, 70-year-old&nbsp;<strong>Russell Novak<\/strong>, reporting a potential home invasion on the night of September 27.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Russell reported that some of his guns were missing and noticed signs of forced entry at his home &#8212; but then he suddenly started screaming, and a loud bang is heard, and the line goes dead.
