That attorney determined that Johnson was deemed justified under Idaho law.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Officer Johnson, along with other colleagues, reported to an incident on Jan. 24, 2024. A suspect was shot by law enforcement after reportedly stabbing two police K-9s.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As previously\u00a0reported by KTVB, the man killed by police was 37-year-old Jeremiah Gaver, who was shot by four\u00a0Ada County deputies and one Boise Police officer\u00a0after he reportedly injured the K-9s and multiple attempts to get him to comply with demands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gaver was seen looking over fences and loitering just outside of Boise city limits. Officers responded, and Gaver would not drop the large knife police discovered him with. A bean bag was shot at Gaver, and police K-9 Astrid was sent.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Authorities said Gaver then stabbed Astrid multiple times and ran through a field. Police were able to catch up, and he stopped at a gas station near Cole Road and Amity Road.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/www.landingliker.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/ff460f74-99e4-49be-a3a3-589e8f503104_1920x1080-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-699\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.landingliker.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/ff460f74-99e4-49be-a3a3-589e8f503104_1920x1080-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.landingliker.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/ff460f74-99e4-49be-a3a3-589e8f503104_1920x1080-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.landingliker.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/ff460f74-99e4-49be-a3a3-589e8f503104_1920x1080-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.landingliker.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/ff460f74-99e4-49be-a3a3-589e8f503104_1920x1080-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.landingliker.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/ff460f74-99e4-49be-a3a3-589e8f503104_1920x1080.jpg 1920w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Law enforcement officials attempted to tase Gaver multiple times, and he fell to the ground. Police said he then stabbed the second police K-9 Meko.
